Research Output
Output falls into four kinds: academic publication, open datasets and tools, technical reports, and results that enter standards; the purpose of the open resources is to lower the barrier for other researchers entering this field.

Open Resources: Lowering the Barrier to Entry
We release the basic resources operations research needs but has long lacked: configuration corpora from heterogeneous environments, structured records of real failure events (de-identified), rule-consistency checking tools, and a reference implementation of operational maturity assessment.
The purpose is to lower the barrier for other researchers entering this field — one reason operations research has advanced so slowly is precisely the absence of shared research material.
Results That Enter Standards
This is the kind the Institute values most. A fixed route to the COR Council is in place: a result is verified in a real environment, then trialled, and finally reviewed and published as a public standard through the Council's standard-setting procedure.
That route ensures the standard has a theoretical basis, and equally ensures the research does not stop at the paper.
